Insect Loss

Habitat loss is significantly affecting insects. Deforestation, chemical use, and climate change all contribute to insect habitat loss. Insects are the most important contributor to life on earth. Without insects, plants die off, mammals cease to exist, and eventually humans will disappear. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) mammals represent around 5% of the known animal kingdom. Insects are food for many mammals, while also pollinating 75% of our food, pollinating most every plant on the planet. Without insects most plants and mammals die-off. Insects outnumber all other animals on earth.
