🌼🐝 Where Flowers and Pollinators Meet! 🦋🌸
A blooming garden is more than a beautiful space—it’s a busy habitat! Native flowers provide nectar and pollen for bees, butterflies, moths, beetles, and other beneficial insects, while pollinators help flowering plants produce seeds and continue the next generation.
🌿 Create more buzz in your landscape:
• Plant native flowers that bloom from spring through fall
• Grow several plants of the same species together so pollinators can find them easily
• Include different flower shapes and colors to attract a variety of visitors
• Leave some stems, leaves, and bare ground for nesting and overwintering insects
• Reduce or avoid pesticide use whenever possible
This week, head outside and watch a patch of flowers for a few minutes. How many different pollinators can you spot?
Every native bloom can become a tiny feeding station—and every garden can help connect pollinator habitat across our communities.
🌼 Plant the bloom. Welcome the buzz. Support the ecosystem. 🐝
