A minuscule marmoset known as Mico munduruku habitat is being destroyed by fire. The Amazon is one of 18 biomes necessary for a healthy earth. The Amazon continues to be destroyed by fires. The newly discovered marmoset’s habitat is disappearing by politically motivated fires. Once these forests disappear, so does the marmoset. This particular marmoset only lives in these forests. Conservationists are hoping with more publicity on the newly discovered marmoset, more protection for the Amazon forest will prevail.
