Jays leave acorns everywhere for a Peculiar Reason

Jays strip oak trees of acorns. They remember every place they leave an acorn. Original thought to for winter food, scientists have discovered the Jays want young saplings to grow. When the saplings appear in the spring, Jays visit and strip the oak of it’s first leaves. Jays feed these tender leaves to their young.
