Great Southeast Pollinator Census

The Cherokee County Master Gardeners invite the community to take part in the **Great Southeast Pollinator Census**, a fun, family-friendly citizen science event that helps researchers better understand and protect the bees, butterflies, and other pollinators essential to our ecosystems and food supply. Participants will spend a short period observing flowers, counting the pollinators they see, and contributing their observations to this region-wide conservation effort—no previous experience is needed, and volunteers will be available to help. Census activities will be hosted at three locations in Cherokee County: the **Cherokee County Senior Center**, 1001 Univeter Road, Canton, GA 30115; the **Backyard Agriculture Education Station at Cherokee Veterans Park**; and the **Ball Ground Botanical Garden**, 215 Valley Road, Ball Ground. Come discover the remarkable diversity of pollinators in our own community while contributing valuable data to a larger effort to understand and conserve them.
